Updated Cost Optimization module in Cloud Advisor

The updated Cost Optimization module now collects data about the memory used by resources and makes recommendations based on this data. Cloud Advisor analyzes memory for both managed services and databases and virtual machines. Depending on the platform, memory usage data is collected via API, Cloud Eye agent or Yandex Unified Agent. If memory usage information is not available, the user is offered a choice between recommending configurations with the current resource memory size or without considering memory.

The algorithm for identifying under-utilized resources, which used to be based on load averages, has also been improved. Now the load percentile is used for the calculation and the user can customize the percentile and utilization headroom by selecting a policy (Maximum Economy, Balanced, Maximum Performance) or by specifying their own values.

For the Huawei Cloud platform, the product supports recommendations for migration between different flavors and allows to flexibly configure between which flavors migration is possible.

Also, the metrics collection period has been increased from 7 to 30 days to more accurately determine the actual resource load.
