Windows support in Cloud Advisor: advanced security features

The new version of Cloud Advisor includes scanning of virtual machines running Windows OS. The system now performs a comprehensive scanning of such VMs, checking key areas of information security:

Vulnerability management
Malware detection
Secret search
Patch control
OS configuration check based on CIS recommendations

Supported Windows versions: Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025, as well as Windows 10 and 11. Not only the OS is checked for vulnerabilities, but also software developed by Microsoft: SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, etc.

No additional action is required from the user — reports will automatically include information on Windows-based VMs.

Scanning is implemented using patented agentless DiskScan technology based on virtual machine snapshot analysis, which provides 100% coverage of the entire infrastructure, product deployment in minutes, reduced administration costs, and no impact on performance.
